Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using MC-001 6mm and MC-002 12mm Low Tack Masking Tape, tape off stripes from the neck of the vase to the foot of the vase.
  3. Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply dots of AC-302 Wax Resist in various stripes. Note: Whatever is wax resisted, will turn out black after being fired.
  4. Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-11 Blue Yonder to various stripes.
  5. Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of RK-101 Copper Metallic to the rest of the exterior of the vase. Take care to not glaze over the SC-11 Blue Yonder stripes.
