Instructions

 

 

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1 coat of SW-304 Copper Wash to the rim of the mug.
  3. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 even coats of SW-129 Copper Float to the outside of the mug. When applying the third coat, stop shot of the rim at the bottom of the mug, on the handle apply the 2nd coat about two thirds of the way down the handle and the third coat only one third of the way. As the glaze will flow on the handle.
  4. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 even coats of SW-108 Green Tea to the outside of the mug. When applying the third coat, stop shot of the rim at the bottom of the mug.
  5. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 even coats of SW-108 Green Tea then 2 even coats of SW-252 Blue Opal to the inside of the mug and top rim.  Allow to dry.
  6. Make sure to remove any glaze on the foot and on the bottom edge of the mug before firing.  Stoneware needs to be dry footed when it is fired. Do Not Use Stilts.
  7. Fire to shelf cone 5/6.
