Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using 2" Mini Foam Roller, roll SC-15 Tuxedo onto MT-004 Swirls Mat. Press the mat on to the MB-994 Picture Frame, pressing at the picture frame opening. Press the second section above the frame opening, and lastly the narrow side of the frame.
- Lay the wheat stencil flat on the frame. Using a squeegee, apply SG-501 Sculpting Medium overtop the stencil, applying in a downward direction taking care not to lift the stencil. Use the squeegee to evenly remove excess SG-501 Sculpting Medium.
- Immediately following the application of SG-501 Sculpting Medium before it dries, use a CB-106 #6 Script Liner and apply 1 coat of SG-401 Black.
- Remove wheat stencil. With a bamboo skewer, remove any excess SG-501 Sculpting Medium that leaked under the stencil.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply SG-401 Black to the side edge and picture frame edge.
- When dry, using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of EL-136 Lapis Lagoon.
- Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply EL-135 Rare Earth to the frame's edges and 1 coat on the inner and outer edge of the frame for an antiqued look.
- Only apply glaze 1/4 inch to the back edge of the frame, as it will be glued onto the backing.
- Fire to shelf cone 06.
- After firing, use an epoxy to glue the cardboard to the back of the frame.
