Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-014 Antique White to the entire piece.
- Cut out the birds, branch and leaves.
- Wet the glaze with a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, and place the paper cut outs down and press firmly into place. Blot with a paper towel.
- Using the AC-213 Sponge on a Stick apply SC-83 Tip Taupe to the MT-001 Flower Branch Designer Mat, and stamp the front of the plate.
- Remove the paper cut outs.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 4 coats of SC-95 Pinkie Swear to one of the birds, and 3 coats of SC-11 Blue Yonder to the other one.
- Using both a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round and a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-7 Leapin’ Lizard to the stems and leaves.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-6 Sunkissed to the beaks.
- With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the burst flower designs.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 1 generous coat of SG-501 Sculpting Medium to the petals of the flowers.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-78 Lime Light over the SG-501 Sculpting Medium areas,
- Using the SG-401 Black Designer Liner, outline and detail the bird, branches and leaves.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing to the plate. Or clear glaze of choice. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
