Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing Glaze into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water).  It should be the consistency of a coffee cream.  Pour this into the tea pot and roll around to completely coat the interior of the tea pot.  Drain out the excess glaze and keep tea pot inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
  3. Pencil in the large sections of the design.
  4. With the SG-401 Designer Liner, outline the design.  The larger areas of black should be filled in using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner and a CB-106 #6 Script Liner with the product.
  5. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, fill in the red areas of the design, top opening, bottom and knob of the tea pot with 3 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale.
  6. Using a CB-602 #2 and a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 heavy coat of CG-977 Ink Spots on the sides of the teapot, body, spout and handle.  Make sure the crystals are evenly distributed.
  7. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing Glaze to the SG-401 Designer Liner areas (center, spout and handle) of the teapot. Allow to dry.
  8. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
