Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. With AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace the provided pattern along the edge of each bisque piece. On SB-108 Contemporary Mug, trace image under the flared lip.
  3. With CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply three coats of SW-106 Alabaster to the inside of SB-108 Contemporary Mug and the back of the other three pieces, SB-104 Rimmed Salad Plate, SB-105 Rimmed Dinner Plate and SB-121 Serving Boat. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
  4. Using SG-408 Orange, trace the center lines of each flower. Also trace the scalloped boarder image as well as the image on SB-121 Serving Boat using SG-408 Orange.
  5. Using SG-410 Bright Blue, trace the lines of all flower petals.
  6. Using SG-409 Bright Green, apply dots along the outer edge of the flower petals and along the top and bottom of the scalloped boarder. 
  7. Allow to dry completely.
  8. With CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply two coats of SW-001 Clear to the exterior of SB-108 Contemporary Mug (including the handle). Also apply two coats of SW-001 Clear to the top of SB-104 Rimmed Salad Plate, SB-105 Rimmed Dinner Plate and SB-121 Serving Boat. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
  9. Moisten a BT-910 Synthetic Sponge and wipe off any excess glaze off the foot of the plates and mug as well as the feet of the serving bowl.
  10. Place all pieces on a high-fired, kiln washed kiln shelf.
  11. Do not stilt or hang over the kiln shelf. Fire to cone 5/6.
