Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Place some FN-035 Deep Red into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water). It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the teapot and roll around to completely coat the interior of the teapot. Drain out the excess glaze and keep the teapot inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
- Using multiple circle punches prepare about 10 circles of various sizes out of paper.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-73 Candy Apple Red to the face of the teapot. While still damp apply a few paper circles.
- Repeat this step with FN-041 Medium Blue, but once it has set up a little bit use a sponge to wipe away the blue not under the circles.
- One last time, apply 3 coats of SC-6 Sunkissed to the entire face of the teapot. Once this has set up, but before it is bone dry you may remove the paper circles.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 4 coats of FN-035 Deep Red to the rest of the teapot.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
