Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Transfer pattern to the platter using AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 smooth coats of SC-72 Grape Jelly to the dragonfly’s wings.
- Apply 3 coats of SG-302 Snowfall to the dragonfly body.
- Fill the AC-222 Medium Writer Tip bottle with SG-302 Snowfall and "pipe" the outline and veins to all of the Hosta leaves. Also add the detail to the dragonfly body and add the eyes.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1 thin coat of SG-302 Snowfall to each leaf from its base out toward the tip. Do not cover the entire leaf. Allow the stroke to be shaggy at the end.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of EL-122 Malachite to the back and leaf area of the front of the plate, avoiding the dragonfly.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SG-202 Cobblestone to the wings. As soon as the wet look is gone apply a thin coat of SC-9 Jaded, SC-71 Purple-licious, and SC-27 Sour Apple in a random pattern to the entire wings. Apply a light coat of SC-76 Cara-bien Blue to the body and SC-15 Tuxedo to the eyes.
- Condition a CB-106 #6 Script Liner with AC-525 Brush Cleaner. Apply 1 coat of AC-302 Wax Resist to the SG-202 Cobblestone to hold in place for transport.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
