Instructions
- Cast 2 Round Box Castable Mold.
- With some Moist Clay and the CD-1217 Celtic Designs Sprig Mold, press out 2 Celtic borers, then slip attach to the side of the box.
- Press out 1 Celtic knot then slip attach to the top of the box.
- Roll a ball of clay for a knob and slip attach to the top of the box in the center of the Celtic knot.
- Clean up any rough edges and the seam line. Allow to dry.
Fleur-De-Lis Box
- Roll out clay ¼” thick with the CD-1257 Beaded & Braided Trim Press Tool, press out 2 strips of Beaded trim. Cut out around the outer edges, then slip attach to the side edge of the box lid.
- With some Moist Clay and the CD-1220 Gargoyles & Fleur-de-Lis Sprig Mold, press out 2 Fleur-de-Lis, then slip attach together creating one then slip attach to the top of the box.
- Clean up any rough edges and the seam line. Allow to dry.
- Bisque fire both pieces to shelf cone 04/05.
Painting - Celtic Box
- Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 1 coat of SC-34 Down to Earth to the Celtic border and knot. Wipe back with a damp sponge leaving the color in the crevices.
- Using a CB-406 # Pointed Round, apply 2 – 3 coats of EL-136 Lapis Lagoon to the Celtic border and knot.
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-88 Tu Tu Tango to the knob of the box.
- Using a CB-602 #2 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of CG-976 Teal Drop to the remaining outside area of the box.
- Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-88 Tu Tu Tango to the inside of the box bottom and lid. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
Painting - Fleur-De-Lis Box
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 2-3 coats of SC-88 Tu Tu Tango to the beads on the box lid.
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 3 Coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the Fleur-de-Lis.
- Using the SG-401 Designer Liner, write “Best Friends” on the box bottom and “I Love You” on the beads and dots in-between the beads.
- Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 1 coat of S-2101 Crystal Clear Glaze to the beads and 2 coats over the area of the “Best Friends”.
- Using a CB-602 #2 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-88 Tu Tu Tango to the inside of the box bottom and lid.
- Using a CB-602 #2 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of CG-977 Ink Spots to the box around the “Best Friends” and to the remaining area of the lid. Allow to dry.
- Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing glaze over the “My Best Friend” area. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
