Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Thin S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing with water (3:1). Pour thinned S-2101 Crystal Clear inside MB-1144 Home Decor Vase to cover interior. Pour out excess and use a damp BT-910 Synthetic Sponge to wipe away any drips.
- Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral to the inside of the neck. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-2 Melon-choly to the lip and 1/4 inch of the top edge of MB-1144 Home Decor Vase. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Pencil in a line in the center of the vase.
- Mix FN-001 White with food coloring to color. With a palette knife, thicken colored FN-001 White with AC-310 Silkscreen Medium to the consistency of peanut butter.
- Using all the butterflies from the DSS-0113 Bugs silkscreen, screen the butterflies, starting with the large butterfly, centered on the vase, with the thickened, FN-001 White mixture.
- Note: This process will act as a stencil for future coloring.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-97 Cant-elope to the upper and outer edges of the lower wings. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-24 Dandelion to fill in the wings. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of the color of your choice to fill in the remaining smaller butterflies. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- With a palette knife, thicken SC-15 Tuxedo with AC-310 Silkscreen Medium to the consistency of peanut butter.
- Align the butterfly screen to the previously painted butterflies. With the thickened SC-15 Tuxedo, rub mixture over the screen to screen the image.
- Note: Review the Silkscreen Instructions for further information and about how to clean your screen for additional usage.
- With a pencil, write "You make my heart flutter" at the top, centered on MB-1144 Home Decor Vase.
- Using SG-401 Black, trace the words. Allow to dry completely.
- Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of S-2101 Clear Brushing. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Stilt and fire to cone 06/05.
