Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Cut a 1 ½ inch circle from paper then trim the edges with pinking scissors for the center design.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 heavy coats of SC-70 Pink-A-Dot to the center section of the heart, making sure to brush enough area so that the paper will overlap the painted section.
- Wet the pink glazed area with water then place the paper cut circle on the space, press with a paper towel.
- Cut out the key from the pattern, trace the shape of the key to the heart.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the space, going over the edges of the trace line, stick the paper to the glaze as in above direction.
- Sponge off any Tuxedo from around the paper key, as black may show through the red glaze.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-004 Red to the entire heart.
- When dry, pencil in small hearts cascading through the heart, fill in with SA-001 White Accent.
- Squeeze some of the SA-001 White Accent onto a tile.
- Using the AC-213 1¼" Sponge on a Stick load the sponge with SA-001 White. Tap the SA-001 White onto the ST-344 Paisley Stamp then press the stamp gently onto the heart. Allow to dry.
- Use the SA-001 White Accent to detail the flower design in the paisley stamp.
- Draw or trace on the keyhole in the center of the pink circle. Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply SC-15 Tuxedo to the keyhole. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
